Indiana Wesleyan University to Open Campus Welcome Center this Winter

MARION, Ind. (Oct 10., 2025) – Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) announced today the development of a new Welcome Center on its Marion campus. Located at 4412 S. Landess St., the Welcome Center will be the first building visitors encounter when arriving at the main southwestern entrance to campus.

Construction is underway, with the opening scheduled for December 2025 and a ribbon-cutting event planned for January 2026.

The facility will serve as a central hub for prospective students, their families, and other campus guests. Admissions, financial aid, and the registrar’s office will all have representatives housed within the Welcome Center, offering one location to enhance the campus visit experience and streamline the enrollment journey.

“The Welcome Center will be an exciting and needed addition to the Marion campus as we look to bring our High-Impact Hospitality to life,” said Jon Kulaga, president of IWU. “This initiative is critical in creating a welcoming space to provide a best-in-class experience and the information needed before guests are ushered onto campus.”

High-Impact Hospitality is a university-wide initiative focused on creating a consistent culture of warmth, service, and excellence in every campus interaction, from the first campus visit to graduation and beyond.

IWU also announced that its partnership with Museum of the Bible (MOTB), based in Washington, D.C., will expand to include an on-campus experience housed within the Welcome Center. The MOTB Experience will feature a rotating collection of curated biblical artifacts on loan from the museum and the Green Collection – one of the largest private collections of biblical artifacts in the world. The collaboration will enrich the space, offering visitors a meaningful first impression of our Christ-centered mission and academic excellence.

The Marion Welcome Center is part of IWU’s ongoing Momentum Plan, the university’s strategic plan to guide growth and innovation through 2029 and represents a key step in elevating the visitor experience.
