INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 8, 2025) – The Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) Division of Counseling has received renewal of accreditation with the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP) through 2030.
The renewal of this accreditation affirms IWU’s commitment to excellence in counselor education. For graduates, CACREP recognition can streamline licensure pathways in many states, is recognized by certain federal agencies for specific counseling roles, and is valued by employers across the country.
“This renewed accreditation stands as a huge accomplishment,” said Rob Atchison, Chair of the Division of Counseling in the School of Integrated Health. “It not only reflects the quality of our curriculum, faculty, and student support. We’re grateful for the dedication of our faculty, staff, and students who made this renewal possible.”
