Georgina Panting

Georgina Panting

Assistant Professor

Wesley Seminary

Ed.D; LMHC

Georgina believes in holistic pastoral leadership, rooted in the Wesleyan heritage, that promotes synergy between the spiritual and the emotional.

Born and raised in Honduras, Georgina’s calling began at her hometown's state university, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology. This led her to the United States for a master's degree in clinical psychology from Wheaton College and a doctorate in Counseling Education from Northern Illinois University. This bicultural foundation equipped her to serve as a bridge-builder between Latin American and American Christian communities.

Recognizing that pastors and church leaders often lack support for their own struggles, Georgina has dedicated her career to providing specialized training, counseling, and mental health services to church leaders throughout the United States and Latin America, offering a safe space for those who care for others.

In 2013, she and her husband cofounded Eirene Counseling Services, Inc., a telehealth practice offering bilingual counseling services in Florida. She specializes in depression, anxiety, and relationship struggles, with expertise in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the intersection of neuroscience and faith.

Her influence extends through teaching and mentoring. As a State-Qualified Supervisor, she trains master's level students in pastoral care, mental health, and marriage and family counseling, equipping Christian leaders and mental health professionals with culturally informed, compassionate care.
