Division of Modern Language, Literature and Communication

Ed.D.; MA

Dr. Muchun Yin teaches courses related to language and language education, including English composition, English grammar, history of the English language, and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). He also directs the Ink Well writing center, which provides peer tutoring for students wanting to improve their academic writing.

Born and raised in the U.S. to immigrants from Taiwan, Dr. Yin later lived abroad for 15 years, teaching in Taiwan and studying in England, before starting at IWU in 2011. At IWU, he enjoys the opportunity to develop and form students not only in their academics but also in their lives more generally, helping them know more about Jesus Christ and life in Him.

In his free time, he enjoys listening to podcasts, reading, getting and staying healthy, and spending time with his family.
