Lisa Moore

Lisa Moore, D.A.; MM

Professor

Division of Music+Theatre

Dr. Moore teaches Applied Voice, Lyric Theater and other vocal courses at IWU as well as Fine Arts. She has performed nationally and internationally as a soloist as a member of the Soprani Compagni Ensemble. Dr. Moore serves as faculty mentor for IWU Ministry Team, Sound Foundation. She has directed over 25 staged productions at Indiana Wesleyan and was instrumental in bringing the Music Therapy program to the university eleven years ago. Dr. Moore served IWU as Senate President and CAS Faculty Chair and has held many other leadership roles including President of the National Opera Association and Indiana National Association of Teachers of Singing. She received the IWU Presidential Leadership Award in 2015.

Prior to coming to IWU, she served as a staff soloist at Shaker town, Pleasant Hill, Kentucky, where she recorded a live CD of Shaker music along with her national presentations of Shaker Lecture Recitals.

An ordained minister, Lisa currently serves as Worship Pastor at the Chesterfield, Indiana Community Church of God. She is the proud mother of five children and one beautiful new granddaughter. Four of her five children have or are currently attending IWU.
