LeighAnn Adkins

LeighAnn Adkins is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pre-licensure Nursing. She received her BSN and MSN from Ohio State University.

LeighAnn previously worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, on a pulmonary/complex care floor, where she enjoyed precepting new graduate nurses and students. She is particularly passionate about recognizing signs of pediatric deterioration, teaching new nurses and students about these signs, and communicating with patients and families during these situations. She holds a master's degree in pediatric acute care.

Her goal is to build meaningful relationships with students, help them connect their classroom knowledge to real-world nursing, and share her love for pediatric nursing.
