Taiwanese Canadian pianist Daniel Lin currently serves as Professor of Music at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Previously, he was a visiting faculty member at the University of Evansville. 

Dr. Lin’s performances have been featured in a variety of venues in the USA and abroad. In 2015, he was a guest soloist in the Max Reger Festival hosted jointly by the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and the Max Reger Foundation of the Americas. He also appeared as a soloist with the Marion Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra after winning the PianoTexas International Academy and Festival Concerto Competition. Competition highlights included a grand prize at the Ruthmere Beardsley Piano Competition in Elkhart, Indiana, and top prizes at the World Piano Teachers Association International Piano Competition Singapore, Euterpe International Music Award, London Classical Music Competition, International Clara Schumann Competition, and George Gershwin International Music Competition. Most recently, he was a first prize winner at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition and was invited to perform at Opera Bastille in Paris, France.

As an active member of the Indiana Music Teachers Association, Dr. Lin serves on the board of directors as president-elect. He has given lectures and workshops within the US and internationally, including the Music Teachers National Association Conference, the College Music Society National Conference, the World Piano Conference, the European Teachers Association International Conference, and the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference.

Dr. Lin is in demand as an adjudicator throughout the Midwest, and his students are frequent recipients of scholarships and awards in local and national competitions. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and Literature from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. He has worked with world-renowned pedagogues including David Louie, Leslie Kinton, Marietta Orlov, Nina Tichman, Jean-Louis Haguenauer, and most recently, Arnaldo Cohen.
