Faculty Profile
Dr. Andy Lipiec is an Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program. He received his B.S. in Exercise Science from Indiana Wesleyan in 2013. While on campus, Dr. Lipiec competed on the Track and Field team as a hurdler and had the opportunity to represent the University at the national level. He then later returned to Indiana Wesleyan to receive his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (2018) by graduating in the program’s inaugural cohort.
As a treating therapist, Dr. Lipiec has served various communities across the country from Oregon to Wisconsin. He began his career by working in hand therapy and collaborated closely with local surgeons and physicians. Dr. Lipiec later had the opportunity to provide ergonomics assessment and education to workers transitioning from office to home as a private consultant. Most recently, he engaged his regional community as a Home Health occupational therapist, working with a diverse team of health care disciplines to provide care to homebound clients. While primarily a generalist practitioner, he has continued interest in orthopedics with the desire to best integrate occupation-based intervention into hand therapy.
Dr. Lipiec is married with three children and enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and being outdoors with his family.
