Beckett Hall, completed in 2007, is a vibrant women’s residence hall at IWU named in honor of alumna Cheryl Beckett. Today, it houses over 300 students from freshmen to seniors, fostering a strong sense of community through shared living and mentorship.
Originally designed to separate freshmen and upper-division students by wing, Beckett transitioned in Fall 2017 to an integrated housing model. Today, female freshmen through seniors live throughout the building, similar to other traditional residence halls.
Beckett Hall residents share a communal living space and on-suite bathroom.

Located in the North Hall complex, Beckett sits near its brother hall, South Hall, creating a connected residential community. Its central lawn and proximity to key campus spaces make it easy to stay connected to both academics and student life.
Vision for Beckett Hall:
“My prayer for the women of Beckett is that they will find true belonging in our community as they laugh together, support one another, grow in confidence, and dive deeper in their relationship with Christ.”
